Premium websites

Your code, without giving up the editor.

A premium website is the one where the design was argued over, the typography is not a default, and the scroll does something deliberate. Most builders make you choose between that and a client who can change a headline on their own. castomUI does not, because every component is code you write and every block is a form they fill in.

Components are where the craft lives.

A component is HTML, CSS and JavaScript in a code editor, plus a JSON data structure and default data. The data structure decides what the block's settings form looks like — which fields exist, which are images, which are menus. Write the markup once, describe its data, and the person editing content never sees the code.

AI can draft a component from a description, with your project's CSS, JS, template fonts and blocks as context, so the draft starts in your style rather than a generic one. Components can be set read-only or protected from cloning when the design is finished and should stay that way.

Fonts, base CSS and motion.

The template sets the primary and secondary font from the built-in list, and the media library takes your own TTF, OTF, WOFF and WOFF2 files when the brand font is not on it. Base CSS sits in project settings, in a full-screen code editor, and can be drafted by AI from the look you describe.

Advanced animation is JavaScript, and JavaScript goes wherever you need it: inside a component, in the template head or body, or in the project's additional code. There is no animation panel with twelve presets. There is a code editor.

Output you would put your name on.

Output switches

Minimise output code, obfuscate the source, prefetch subpages on hover, add a service worker — per project or per publisher. See publishing.

GitHub and custom targets

Push a page or the whole project into a repository, or deploy to a named custom publisher with its own secret code and switches.

Review with notes

Notes attach to any element and open its window; replies thread under them. The review happens where the problem is. See collaboration.

Which plan

A single developer needs PRO, €300 a month, for GitHub and custom publishers and the advanced output switches. A studio where designers, developers and the client review together fits Team, €500 a seat, which adds roles, invitations, shared notes and chat, and screen sharing. Compare plans.

Questions

Can I use my own JavaScript libraries?

Yes. Load them in the template or additional code, and use them inside components like any other script.

Will a client break the design by editing?

They edit the fields your data structure defines, not the markup. Set components read-only and give the client the Editor or Viewer role.

Is obfuscation a security measure?

It makes the source harder to lift, not impossible. Treat it as a deterrent, not a lock.

A professional observation: the animation everybody approved in the meeting will be called "a bit much" by the client's partner a week later. Write it with the duration in a variable.
